              Sue's representative character as the ' new women ' is to be found in her two great reservations around which the post of the novel

              Sue's representative character as the ' new women ' is to be found in her two great reservations around which the post of the novel revolves - first her denial of sex and second her strong misgivings sexual intercourse with him. She marries phillotson but she refuses to have sexual intercourse with him.she is a rebel.

2) Different between sue and Arebell donn:

         Two completely different women , Susanna bridehead and Arabella donn,Sue is a ' pretty liquid eyed ,light footed young woman, her mind ,her education ,her unconventional beliefs and especially her insistence on these beliefs impress jude.Sue and Arabella are not just contrasting in their appearance but they have oppositional ideas , beliefs and attitudes towards life. Therefore , they lead their lives under different circumstances and get different social recognition.

3) Difference between Indian marriages and Victorian marriages system :

          In the indian marriages locked the spouses into their predefined roles without any opportunities to allow for individual choice.Married woman were expected to fulfill their role as homemaker and had to stifle any career ambitious or frustrations they might have had. Victorian marriages allow for individual preference. The spouses are considered equal partners and the women have their share of power and control in decision making for the family.  

            In Indian marriages the division of responsibilities was clearly designated by gender. In Victorian marriages the husband and wife share responsibilities.

4) Comparison between this two characters sue v/s Bathsheba 

        The character of Bathsheba is not as complex as sue of jude the obscure. Sue defies the laws of society but at the same time  is not comfortable about her relationship with her cousin Jude. On the contrary , Bathsheba , right or wrong ,is in complete control of her life.She is ambitious , headstrong and determined. 

5)  I don't agree to this decision. Due to this decision so many married life's are going to break and children future also going to spoil.
